![]() Yet it drew me: because of its history and its culture, its heritage of tikun olam - repairing the world, its ability to incorporate change and reinterpretation. And Judaism was as guilty of patriarchal thought and practice as any other religion under review. It was made more challenging and difficult by my commitment to feminism which, at that point in its history, seemed rabidly anti-religious.
